Why join

  • Selling into government is hard.
  • Growing a consultancy is harder.
  • Doing both on your own is harder still.

The SME Growth Network connects founders who are building the next generation of public sector consultancies — so the lessons you pay for once are shared, not repeated.

01

Learn faster

Shortcut the trial and error. Ask the room a question that would otherwise take you six months to answer.

02

Build better partnerships

Find the primes, the specialists and the delivery partners who complement what you already do well.

03

Avoid expensive mistakes

Bad frameworks, wrong hires, unwinnable bids. Learn where others lost money before you spend yours.

04

Grow together

A rising sector lifts every credible SME in it. Compete on delivery, collaborate on everything else.

What you get

Everything a growing consultancy
needs, in one membership.

Practical support, current intelligence and a room full of people who have already answered the question you're about to ask.

Private Slack Community

Members-only channels for bids, pricing, hiring and frameworks. Answers in hours, not weeks.

Monthly Masterclasses

Live sessions with operators and buyers on the topics that move revenue. Recorded for members.

Procurement Updates

What's changing across frameworks, policy and spend — filtered down to what actually affects SMEs.

Bid & Sales Support

Sanity-check a go/no-go, sharpen a response, or pressure-test your pricing before submission.

Founder Roundtables

Small, closed-door groups where the real numbers and the real problems get discussed openly.

Member Introductions

Warm, deliberate connections to the people in the network who can help — not a directory dump.

Resource Library

Templates, frameworks and worked examples: bid libraries, rate cards, capability statements.

Partnership Opportunities

Teaming, subcontracting and joint bids surfaced across the membership as they come up.

Who it's for

A room worth being in depends
on who's in it.

This is for you if…

  • You own or lead a consultancy selling into UK public sector.
  • You're past the first contract and building something repeatable.
  • You'd rather share what works than guard it.
  • You want candid peers, not another networking event.

It's probably not for you if…

  • You're looking for a lead list or somewhere to pitch members.
  • You want done-for-you bid writing rather than support and challenge.
  • You've no intention of contributing anything back.
  • You need a guaranteed pipeline. We can't promise that — nobody credible can.

Questions

Before you join.

You'll get your Slack invite and a short onboarding call to understand what you're working on, so we can point you at the right members and channels from day one. The next masterclass and roundtable dates land in your inbox the same week.

Some will overlap with you, most won't. The network spans different capabilities, buyers and sizes of firm — which is exactly why teaming and subcontracting comes up as often as it does. Members set their own boundaries on what they share, and nothing said in a roundtable leaves the room.

As much or as little as you want. Slack works asynchronously, masterclasses are recorded, and roundtables run monthly. Members who get the most from it tend to spend twenty minutes a week in the community and turn up to one live session a month.

We won't pretend to sell you pipeline. What the network gives you is better decisions — which bids to walk away from, how to price, who to partner with, what buyers are actually being told internally. Those decisions win contracts; a membership on its own doesn't.

Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of your current period. Annual memberships run for twelve months.

You're joining while the network is being shaped, so you have real influence over the sessions we run and the topics we cover — and you keep your joining rate even as the membership price rises for later cohorts.
